The Ritz-Carlton, Naples has reopened following an extensive renovation and expansion that began in 2021. The resort on Florida’s Gulf Coast also debuts the Vanderbilt Tower, which features an expansive new Ritz-Carlton Club Lounge, more than 70 club-level guestrooms, a new resort lobby, and three new dining experiences.
Redesigned by Parker-Torres Design, the resort now offers reimagined outdoor spaces including new pools, bungalows, and cabanas. Each of the property’s 474 guestrooms and suites were also updated.
The firm’s design concept was inspired by the local flora and fauna, as well as Naples’ history as an iconic travel destination. Art in the new Club Lounge, for example, is nods to vintage postcards. Meanwhile, a sculptural wood centerpiece at the Sofra Bar is reflective of the magnetic fields that draw loggerhead turtles back to the beach.
“It was important to build upon the existing space by layering new soft wood tones and reflective materials, such as unique textured glass, to create a more dynamic and whimsical environment,” says Kristen Emory, senior interior designer at Parker-Torres. “Upon arrival, guests are greeted with an effortless sense of luxury that combines the existing traditional architecture with modern moments of discovery. Rich materials, soft textures, and a soothing color palette provide a sense of calm that is still fresh and invigorating.”
