Conrad Hotels & Resorts is planning its first New York City property, scheduled to open late next year. Located on the current site of the Embassy Suites New York, the new luxury hotel will house 463 rooms averaging 550 square feet. Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates, Office dA, and Remedios Studios will oversee the interior design, highlights of which include a sunlit 15-story atrium lobby featuring a dramatic Sol LeWitt art piece rising 13 floors above the check-in desk. More than 17,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, as well as several upscale F&B concepts, are also planned for the Conrad.
