Kimpton’s Sky Hotel in Aspen, Colorado, will embark on a refurbishment of its guestrooms this spring, followed by upgrades to public spaces and the patio in 2013. Dayna Lee of Los Angeles-based Powerstrip Studio will oversee the project, staying true to the hotel’s 1970s ski lodge timber architecture and playful vibe. Classic ski films and the majestic Aspen Mountain will serve as design inspiration.
