General contractor Clune Construction, in partnership with architecture firm Gensler and sustainable development consultancy Arup, has completed the Delta One Lounge at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).
A look inside the Delta One Lounge at LAX
The Delta One Lounge, a high-end interior tenant improvement, is designed to provide a luxurious and intimate experience. Key design elements include stone walls, bespoke millwork cabinets, bench seating, and backlit mirrors, which all unfold beneath metal-paneled ceilings.
The lounge’s bar is a standout feature, with backlit stone, an antiqued mirror back bar with shelving, and a fluted stone façade featuring a custom drink rail.
Upon entry, travelers are greeted by an oval stone reception desk and acoustical ceiling treatments, while circulation areas are outfitted with wood ceilings, stone flooring, and metal divider panels.
“This space embodies the ultimate in luxury travel, designed to cater to the unique needs of Delta’s premium guests,” says January Wilson, vice president, project executive at Clune Construction.
This collaboration builds on Clune and Gensler’s long-standing partnership, with over $2.5 billion in completed work and 21 million square feet of projects nationwide.
Together with Arup, which oversees the multidisciplinary design team, the firms have delivered high-profile spaces for media giants, global law firms, and financial institutions.
