Solaire Resort North has launched in Quezon City, just northeast of Manila, Philippines.
Designed by Habitus Design Group, the project integrates an intricate design its expansive 38-story vertical structure, which includes 530 guestrooms and suites, 14 F&B options, a 19,375-square-foot ballroom, conference and meeting rooms, spa, gym, high-end retail, and four gaming levels, and more.

Stepping into Solaire Resort North
Conceived as a self-contained sanctuary within the bustling city, the resort flaunts an interior design with a botanical theme that’s brought to life through more than 12,000 detailed drawings. Floral motifs and organic patterns are expressed via bespoke wallpapers, handcrafted chandeliers, and locally sourced materials like hardwood, woven textiles, handblown glass, and rare marbles.
The reception area invites guests into a lavish atmosphere, boasting Nero Marquina marble counters with aged gold leaf finishes and custom crystal chandeliers.
A focal point of the property is U.S.-based artist Nikolas Weinstein’s Mangrove, a massive glass structure—inspired by the intricate root systems of mangrove trees—that undulates upward through the hotel’s nearly 100-foot-tall atrium.

Meanwhile, the 530 guestrooms and suites are crafted with a neutral backdrop that balances vibrant rugs, upholstery, and curated artwork. Timber flooring enhances warmth and intimacy, accompanied by luxurious bathrooms clad in combinations of Dora Grey, Crema Marfil, and Fawn Tan marble.
“I love having timber floors,” notes Samantha Drummond, founder of Habitus Design Group. “They give a feeling of coziness, and they feel residential and, therefore, comfortable.”

A range of dining experiences
The resort’s 14 F&B venues include standouts like Yakumi, a fine-dining Japanese restaurant that boasts dark timber and fretwork panels for a serene yet dramatic ambiance. Red Lantern’s opulence reflects its Cantonese cuisine, whereas the open kitchen at Italian restaurant Finestra is framed by copper-clad pizza ovens and custom velvet furnishings.
Crowning the development is Sky Bar, which echoes an upscale Western members club through an earthy palette enriched by coral and shagreen touches.
Art takes centerstage
Art is central to the project, showcasing work by Filipino artisans alongside Mangrove. For instance, a massive metal sculpture, Alon, by Bea Valde captures the essence of ocean waves.
“I wanted [Solaire Resort North] to have a strong Filipino identity and story to it so that guests would know where they were,” says Drummond. “I wanted it to have an identity and to be authentic.”
