The details: Located on the University of Colorado campus, Eaton Fine Art (EFA)—working alongside Limelight Hotels, Bentel & Bentel, HBA, and numerous Colorado-based artists—transformed the 252-room property into a lively, gallery-like experience. Outdoors, The Road is Made by Walking, a vibrant yellow sculpture by Brad Howe, captures the city’s playful, energetic character, while Joe Norman’s Air, Land, Water sculptural trio represents state wildlife.
The lobby, meanwhile, is curated to encourage curiosity and reflection, thanks to Kim Dickey’s intricate ceramic work exploring the relationship between culture and nature; Nancy Lovendahl’s large-scale pieces shaped by the shifting Colorado River; and mixed-media compositions by Benjamin Wieler that weave together academia, literature, and place. “Inspired by the natural beauty and landscapes of Colorado, including its rivers, mountains, and light, the art collection reflects the creative and academic spirit of the University of Colorado campus and the surrounding Boulder community,” says EFA director of projects Meredith Burwell.
