The International Interior Design Association (IIDA), in partnership with Hospitality Design, announced the winners of the 26th annual IIDA/HD Expo Product Design Awards at HD Expo + Conference in Las Vegas in May. Entries from exhibiting companies were judged by jury members Patricia Rotondo, senior principal, Lamar Johnson Collaborative and IIDA Fitwel Ambassador; Matt Thompson, experience manager, OpenSquare; and Courtney Wilson, interior designer and principal, Echo Architecture + Interiors.
Flooring: Carpets + Rugs
The 2023 Eric Engstrom Best of Competition
Inspired by the shapes and colors of mushrooms, Durkan’s Mycotopia collection explores the delicate organisms with soft organic patterns in a 16-piece series of Definity, Pattern Perfect, PDI Tile, handtufted rugs, and tufted broadloom options.
Flooring: Hard Surfaces
Schluter Systems’ DITRA-HEAT-DUO is a waterproofing and uncoupling flooring membrane that reduces sound and heat loss. The system can also be customized with floor heating cables for electric warming underneath tile or LVT.

Ecore International’s Heritage Motivate Performance Vinyl tile is a departure from traditional LVT flooring, with an ergonomic reclaimed rubber construction and sound dampening captured in planks that emulate traditional wood.

The Weslan from Arteriors borrows its silhouette from old-fashioned pharmacy lamps. The fixture’s bronze-finished steel shade extends from a matching, dramatically curved arm attached to a white alabaster base.

The slouchy silhouette and oversized stitching of MAD Design’s Stitch 25 concrete planter gives the illusion of leather construction. Options include natural, graphite, or bone frames, as well as six colors for the rope detailing.

Forest Drapery Hardware’s Pure collection is a sleek solution to motorized drapery with a variety of control options and finishes in polished chrome, matte white, satin nickel, or black.

Bryte’s Balance mattress takes bedding to the next level with technology that offsets imbalances when asleep; a peaceful wake-up experience with silent, rhythmic motions; and a companion app with controls and sleep insights.
Applied Finishes + Materials: Wallcoverings
IKONNI’s Milled Wood panels span various wood-inspired finishes, shapes, and thicknesses, adding texture and depth. Each can be finished with a water-resistant MDF core for use in humid areas, including bathrooms.

Azenco Outdoor’s modular K-Bana offers multiple options for outdoor areas. Available in three sizes, each has manual louvers for controlled lighting and customizable floors, panels, and walls.
