At a glance: For the 26-room hotel in Charleston, Method Co. spent years trying “to pull together [the project] since it’s an assemblage of five separate properties we acquired from several different owners,” says Method Co. CEO and founder Randall Cook. Because one of the buildings was not historic, it was able to be demolished and rebuilt as a new three-story, limestone-clad structure by Morris Adjmi Architects that now comprises the lobby, spa, and units with terraces that overlook the city’s buzzy King Street.
