At a glance: Set within an 18th-century palazzo building in the center of Rome, the 95-room Six Senses Rome—the brand’s first in Italy—is being restored to its original grandeur by Patricia Urquiola and will star quirky room types with high ceilings, a large rooftop terrace with panoramic views, the signature Six Senses Spa, and an entry that is “beautiful, powerful, and sexy,” says Six Senses Hotels Resorts & Spas CEO Neil Jacobs. The Milan-based designer “remained mindful of the building’s authentic heritage and gently fused it with a contemporary vision of hospitality,” Jacobs adds. “We want this to be a place of harmony and connection for our guests, sprinkled with a lot of love.”
