Along with revamps of the Las Vegas and Orlando properties, Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts is adding to its portfolio with an opening in the Seychelles as well as its long-anticipated overhaul of the New York hotel. The Midtown East icon, now a mix of 375 guestrooms and 375 private residences, will celebrate its reopening in December by embracing its Art Deco architecture—heightened by a display of artifacts like Cole Porter’s piano. New additions will include a 30,000-square-foot spa, restaurant, and tableside cocktail rituals that pay tribute to the historic Peacock Alley.
