The Tokyo EDITION, Ginza
Like its elder sibling, the Tokyo EDITION, Toranomon, the city’s new Ginza outpost is a collaboration between Ian Schrager Company and Kengo Kuma. Opening in March, the sleek tower it’s housed in marries a latticed metal façade with vertical gardens and its 86 guestrooms include 440-square-foot entry-level accommodations that are the largest in the shopping and entertainment district. Adding buzz to the property will be a Japanese brasserie, rooftop natural wine bar, and a branch of the brand’s signature Punch Room. Meanwhile, the brand’s inaugural Mexican property, the ISC- and Rockwell Group-designed beachfront Riviera Maya EDITION at Kanai, recently opened on a 620-acre nature reserve of mangroves.
