VAI Resort, Glendale, Arizona

When it opens this year, the 1,100-room VAI is poised to become a culinary and entertainment destination thanks to a collaboration between Gensler, KTGY, Davis Ink, and DH Companies. Among the 12 restaurants will be Bar Mar, chef José Andrés’ first offering in the state. There will also be Konos Island, the 52,000-square-foot beach hangout, as well as the VAI Amphitheater that holds more than 11,000 revelers.
