Planted on London’s Leicester Square, the 350-room Londoner nods to the city’s historic theater district, with Toronto and New York firm Yabu Pushelberg cultivating the design through the lens of an elaborate production. This sense of theatricality is felt in the lobby, where a metallic moon sculpture by Andrew Rae shimmers overhead. Also serving up drama is a striking chandelier that cascades down the sculptural central staircase. Even guestroom corridors, lined with glossy lacquer doors, sparkle in saturated hues. One floor, dubbed the Retreat, is devoted to wellness programming, but privacy also awaits in the Residence, a just-for-guests drawing room and bar starring a secret whiskey parlor.
