Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts has signed on to manage a hotel in Chongqing, China, scheduled to open in late 2011. Designed by the East China Architectural Design Institute, the 469-room luxury hotel will occupy the first 28 floors of a new 58-story landmark mixed-use building. Amenities will include the Horizon Club executive lounge, Chinese and specialty restaurants, spa and health club, swimming pool, entertainment and business centers, and 21,500 square feet of conference facilities.
