Aman has announced plans for Amansanu, the brand’s sixth U.S. property and its very first ranch-inspired retreat.
Located 90 minutes from Austin, the destination immerses guests in the rugged beauty of Texas Hill Country, offering a secluded sanctuary that feels removed from the city.
Derived from the Sanskrit words for “peaceful peak,” Amansanu is set amidst a landscape defined by rolling hills, limestone cliffs, and winding creeks that have been carved into the earth over millennia.
Olson Kundig is crafting the property as a modern expression of the regional vernacular that remains in dialogue with the surrounding topography. Structures are thoughtfully positioned to follow the natural contours of the land, framing expansive, unobstructed views across the valleys and canyons beyond. Shifting light and vibrant seasonal colors will actively animate the setting as well.
Living spaces at Amansanu
The resort is composed of standalone pavilions, with every vantage point carefully considered to maximize privacy, seclusion, and connection with nature.
Complementing the standalone pavilions is a limited collection of fully serviced Aman-branded residences. Each of these exclusive homes is set within sprawling hillside sites starting at 10 acres. Designed in harmony with the resort’s architectural vision, the residences are characterized by open-plan living spaces and an extensive use of natural materials. Expansive terraces blur the boundaries between indoors and out, connecting with the landscape to ensure privacy and uninterrupted vistas.
Amenities rooted in the Texas Hill Country
The property will feature a program of amenities, including the central Main Lodge, which will anchor the resort alongside several dining concepts.
Wellness offerings are integrated into the natural environment, highlighted by an expansive Aman Spa and Wellness Center situated along a winding creek. Guests will also have access to racquet sports courts and extensive hiking trails.
In addition, Amansanu will introduce Aman’s first fully serviced stables, capturing an elevated interpretation of the traditional ranch lifestyle.
Amansanu represents the continued expansion of Aman’s footprint across the Americas. The property joins a growing pipeline of destinations that integrate branded residences with luxury hotels, including the forthcoming Amanvari, Aman Miami Beach, Aman Beverly Hills, and Amancaya in the Bahamas.
