The annual group of honorees were nominated by their industry peers and selected based on criteria established by the Boutique Design editorial team.

Boutique Design magazine also reveals its yearly Up-and-Coming Hotelier honor, a noteworthy hotelier to watch. BD created the award to recognize the visionaries who are redefining guests’ expectations regarding how hotels look, feel, and operate. The winners are the masterminds behind young brands emerging as influencers in the hospitality industry. This year’s honorees are Shannon Maldonado, founder and creative director YOWIE, and Everett Abitbol, cofounder of Deacon Hospitality Group and YOWIE Hotel.
