Closing Q1 of 2021 with 16 new signings and more than 2,000 guestrooms in the pipeline, Radisson Blu has confirmed its position, over the last decade, as the largest upper upscale brand in Europe. Expanding its EMEA portfolio correlates with the brand’s five-year plan, which comprises forthcoming debuts in Montenegro and Andorra, as well as new signings for outposts in Austria, Bulgaria, and Serbia.
Albania’s first Radisson Collection hotel, Radisson Collection Morina Hotel, Tirana, recently opened, while two new Radisson RED hotels are slated to open in the UK and Finland. Plus, two Radisson Blu properties in Turkey and Zambia round out the brand’s most recent highlights.
“As we rebuild after a challenging 2020, Radisson Hotel Group, together with our business partners, has managed to continue growth into 2021,” says Elie Younes, Radisson Blu’s executive vice president and chief development officer, EMEA. “Thanks to the passion of our people and the trust of our owners, we are delighted to celebrate 10 consecutive years for our flagship Radisson Blu brand as the largest upper upscale brand in Europe, to be enjoyed in over 280 hotels across EMEA.”
