Baltimore, Maryland-based Atlas Restaurant Group has launched its newest concept, the Ruxton, in the city’s Harbor East neighborhood.
Atlas partnered with local interior designer Patrick Sutton on the multimillion-dollar renovation and design of the space.
Drawing inspiration from the jazz age, Sutton created a tactile experience using rich materials “evocative of the classics from the jazz age through to the Mad Men era,” Sutton explains. A color palette comprising deep greens, browns, creams, and brass is complemented by green velvet upholstery, walnut wood millwork, suede wallcoverings, and illuminated onyx panels.
Bespoke chandeliers light up the space, while ribbons of Murano-style glass suspend above each table.
“I want guests to feel like they are transported to an era of exuberance and luxury, almost as if they have stepped through time and are excited to dress up and have a night on the town,” Sutton adds.
