Los Angeles-based AAHA Studio has unveiled its design for Wedgewood Weddings at Danza del Sol Winery in Temecula, California.
The event venue, named the Barrel Room, features expansive glass doors that blur the boundary between indoors and out, and open onto a picturesque ceremony space and outdoor entertainment areas. A stucco-painted exterior, inspired by Tuscan tradition, grounds the winery in classic charm.
Inside, walls lined with halved wine barrels pay homage to the craft of winemaking, while a custom rope chandelier serves as a striking contemporary focal point.
Moody chiaroscuro lighting creates a dynamic interplay of light and shadow, enhancing the interior ambiance. Polished cement floors reflect the towering wine barrels, further emphasizing the artistry of the winemaking process.
Sustainability and craftsmanship are woven into the design through reconstituted wine barrels repurposed as tables and umbrella stands, as well as structural faux beams crafted from lightweight, pre-finished polyurethane.
