Sneaker collection celebrates the design legacy of Eames
Reebok has teamed up with Eames Office to launch a limited-edition collection of sneakers that honors the legacy of iconic American industrial designers Charles and Ray Eames. The two brands worked together to reimagine Reebok’s popular and timeless Club C model, originally released in 1985, with an Eames-influenced spin. Among the collaboration are two solid pairs, as well as options featuring the visual artwork of Ray Eames—including her paintings and textile, reports GQ. The first ‘Monotone Pack’ will be available exclusively online beginning October 15th and via select retailers on October 21st. More designs will be released throughout the rest of the year.
Martha Stewart takes her talents to Las Vegas

Multifaceted businesswoman Martha Stewart has announced her next act: a restaurant on the Las Vegas strip. Confirmed via construction permit filings, the TV personality is set to debut her first eatery in Las Vegas at the Paris Las Vegas hotel and casino in 2022, reports Eater. The resort has allocated approximately $100,000 to remove a preexisting restaurant space at the property to make way for the new concept. Details about the opening date and menu have not yet been announced.

The World’s 50 Best Restaurants announced its list of 2021 winners at an awards ceremony in Antwerp, Belgium. Selected by a panel of more than 1,000 culinary experts, the annual list features six American restaurants, but it was Denmark that took home top honors. Two Copenhagen institutions—Noma and Geranium—were ranked first and second place, respectively. New York’s Cosme is the highest-ranking American restaurant, in 22nd place. See the full list here.
Virgin Voyages kicks entertainment up a notch
A recent New York Times article details the highly energetic albeit unexpected performance cruisers will come to find on board the just-launched Scarlet Lady ship from Virgin Voyages. Dubbed the Untitled DanceShowPartyThing, the show by choreographers and Dance Cartel members Ani Taj, Sam Pinkleton and Sunny Min-Sook Hitt is an “exuberant, open-to-all, party-meets-performance” that breaks the mold of Broadway-influenced numbers that typically find their way to cruise ships. The 2,770-passenger ship recently set sail from New York on its inaugural Bahamas cruise on Wednesday, October 6th. “A lot of folks in theater are still like, ‘You’re doing a cruise ship show?’”says Pinkleton. “And it’s like: Yeah, I’m doing a cruise ship show. And you know what? It’s fun, it’s joyous, and a lot of people get to do it as their job.”
