Upstate New York getaway Kenoza Hall has expanded its offerings with the opening of the Bungalows at Kenoza Hall. The 10 new luxury accommodations were crafted by the Foster Supply Hospitality team in homage to Bungalow colonies that were popular in the Catskills region in the early 1900s.
“They are meant to be fun and playful while maintaining a strong sense of place that inspires all my designs,” says Foster Supply cofounder and co-owner Kirsten Harlow Foster. “The Bungalows should feel simultaneously playful and luxurious. There is a sense of escape when you head up the property, away from the Main Inn.”
Each bungalow, accessed via porches overlooking Kenoza Lake, contrasts the lakefront inn’s other 22 guestrooms with an added sense of privacy. The new one- and two-bedroom accommodations feature layers of pink, blue, and green hues alongside bold patterns, ornamental brass details, and wallpaper depicting the whimsy of nature. A range of custom furnishings also anchor each space, including statement bed canopies paired with velvet headboards, cocktail tables inlaid with black and white marquetry, and plush wool rugs. Peekaboo windows visually link sitting areas with the bathroom’s deep soaking tubs. A step up from the average minibar, an oversized armoire is also installed in each unit to provide a range of artisanal goods.
