Canopy by Hilton has announced the opening its newest property: Canopy by Hilton Scottsdale Old Town. The 177-room concept crafted by Dallas-based Studio 11 Design is first new hotel to debut in Scottsdale, Arizona in more than a decade.
Conceived as a natural extension of the surrounding arts district, the hotel features a charming midcentury-style modernity paired with a vibrant Southwest flair. Visitors are welcomed by a lineup of locally sourced artwork set against a rich color palette inspired by Arizona’s sundrenched vistas. Upscale yet familiar, the design infuses warm crimson and deep gold notes across public spaces along with a materiality of wood and metal varieties distinctive of the Canopy brand.
“The design of Canopy by Hilton Scottsdale Old Town speaks to the multitude of elements that characterize Scottsdale as a destination for the arts and natural beauty,” says Kellie Sirna, cofounder and principal of Studio 11. “Designing the property was an opportunity to design a home-away-from-home for guests seeking an immersion into the area’s special culture.”
Signature American brasserie Cobre Kitchen + Cocktails anchors the ground floor with an inviting, convivial atmosphere that frames the city through floor-to-ceiling windows. Contemporary furnishings, sleek marble countertops, and subtle copper tones characterize the venue as well. On the seventh floor, the sophisticated and laidback Outrider Rooftop Lounge crowns the hotel, and features a pool, private cabanas, private seating enclaves, and fire pits.
Spacious guestrooms and suites embrace simple elegance with an aesthetic that references local nature. Made from eclectic local wood, headboards serve as a key focal point in each accommodation, etched with copper and outfitted with lighting designed to replicate the sunset behind Camelback Mountain.
