Construction has begun on the first Los Angeles location from citizenM. Housed within an 11-story volume designed by Gensler, the forthcoming hotel will feature an interior design by longtime collaborator, Amsterdam-based firm concrete. The development will serve citizenM’s efforts to reach 40 properties by 2020.
The citizenM Los Angeles Downtown will reflect the eclectic nature of the surrounding community with a medley of contemporary artwork, photography, and furnishings, all of which will be locally sourced. Extra-large king beds will be included in all 315 accommodations, which will also invite guests to customize each guestroom from lighting to the TV via an iPad.
