The Hotel Greystone has opened in the heart of Miami Beach, reviving an iconic Art Deco landmark in Collins Park originally designed by late architect Henry Hohauser. Intimacy and a hyperlocal sense of place abound throughout the chic urban retreat, which was designed by the Salt Hotels team in collaboration with Holly Muhl, founder and CEO of Dallas-based design practice Bowen Holly.
“Our goal was to create something stylish and comfortable that evokes the dynamic layers of Miami Beach,” Muhl says. “The building offers so many opportunities for a sophisticated audience depending on your mood and we wanted every space to give guests a welcome and authentic sense of place.”
The airy lobby offers guests respite from the city with inviting amenities like the opulent Greystone Bar and the Sérêvène restaurant, a Japanese-French fusion concept. A lively outdoor lounge and café, Kobo, is also featured, as well as a poolside cocktail bar on the roof.
Included among the hotel’s 91 guestrooms and suites is a number of penthouses equipped with private terraces that promote tranquility and feature hot tubs overlooking vistas of the city and sea.
