San Francisco’s Hotel Triton is set to unveil its $6 million contemporary facelift from Miami-based Rose Ink Workshop this October.
Bright, vivacious interiors will reflect the influence of world cultures and local artifacts. Completed in June, the new hotel lobby evokes modern luxury with Bordiglio marble floors, wooden ceiling beams, and a custom glassblown chandelier. Eclectic artwork and furniture populate the space alongside a collection of Nigerian Yoruba Crowns and a display of globally sourced minerals.
Most notably, the lobby features a mural that was discovered behind the walls during the hotel’s demolition. Created by Persian artist Jon Oshanna in the 1940s, the artwork depicts Mission Dolores, San Francisco’s oldest intact Mission built in 1776 as well as City Hall.
The 140 guestrooms and suites have been updated with marble finishes, custom furniture, and a saturated color palette. Decorative lounge chairs and round dining tables complement upholstered benches, marble vanities, and custom light fixtures.
“We were inspired by the Danish concept of Hygge, which is the feeling of coziness and comfort,” says Rose. “It was important for us to infuse this element of contentment and wellbeing throughout the property, without forgoing elegance and sophistication.”
