Hotel Indigo, part of InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), has debuted in Pennsylvania with the opening of Hotel Indigo Pittsburgh East Liberty.
Located in the city’s cultural district, the 135-room boutique hotel is owned by Governor’s Hotel Company, managed by IHG, and includes four buildings—one of which formerly housed the Governor Hotel.
The hotel’s overall aesthetic was inspired by the local nightlife and theater scene, which boasts art venues, boutiques, and historic sites. Elevators, for example, are accented by photo stills on the floor that depict vintage movie academy leaders.
Guestrooms feature velvet curtain entrances, theater-inspired murals, lamps designed to mimic stage lights, hard-surface flooring, area rugs, and spa-inspired bathrooms. The two-room Governor’s Suite includes a private sitting parlor, bar area, and master suite.
Amenities include Wallace’s TapRoom, the hotel’s signature restaurant and bar; a fitness center; and more than 2,400 square feet of meeting space.
