Kimpton, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts’ luxury and lifestyle portfolio, has unveiled Kimpton Los Monteros Marbella, reviving one of Spain’s most distinguished hotels.
Originally opened in 1962, Los Monteros set a new standard for hospitality in the Costa del Sol region and became the first hotel in Spain to receive a Michelin Star.
Now, following an extensive renovation led by Barcelona-based El Equipo Creativo and guestroom redesign by Cristina Carulla Studio, the hotel blends its historic grandeur with a fresh, contemporary aesthetic.
Inside the design
Located in Marbella’s most exclusive enclave just blocks from the Mediterranean, the resort features 195 elegantly designed rooms, including 60 suites, many with private terraces and sea views.
The interiors draw inspiration from Marbella’s rich cultural heritage, incorporating geometric patterns, terracotta tiles, and organic curves to create a warm, welcoming ambiance.
Guestrooms feature natural materials and vibrant color accents, capturing the essence of the Mediterranean lifestyle.
Amenities at Kimpton Los Monteros Marbella
With 53,800 square feet of outdoor space and 7,530 square feet of versatile indoor venues, the hotel offers a grand ballroom for up to 250 guests, a scenic rooftop, and an exclusive beach club.
Dining options include Jara restaurant; Escondido Rooftop with an infinity pool; Azul Lounge Bar, which transitions from day to night; and Costa Club Pool Bar.
The resort also features a spa by Maison CODAGE that offers a hydrotherapy circuit, daily yoga and fitness sessions, and access to Marbella’s top golf courses.
