Pendry Hotels & Resorts is slated to unveil a new members club this summer in a private, dedicated wing of California’s Pendry Newport Beach.
Dubbed the Elwood Club, the concept will be rooted in the customs of hospitality with a distinctively California flair that embodies generational heritage rich in the tradition of hosting. The Elwood Club will offer a range of venues and experiences spanning music, art, travel, fashion, wellness, sport, and, of course, dining.
“We created the Elwood Club to further connect with and enhance the lives of our best guests—the locals who give life and energy to our Pendry hotels,” says Pendry cofounder Michael Fuerstman. “We want to build a membership and a lifestyle beyond what’s possible at a standard private club, to imagine a world of hospitality and cherished spaces to entertain, unwind, and connect from day to evening, in a way that is deeper and more personal. While the Elwood Club will feature high-design spaces and exciting and innovative programming, we are most excited about building community, connecting people, and adding value to our members’ lives.”
Designed by Toronto-based Studio Munge, the Elwood Club will be home to a private restaurant and bar attached to a garden terrace as well as a glitzy cabaret bar and a pub equipped with its own screening room and golf simulator. A member boardroom and art gallery will also be featured onsite to accommodate the club’s range of programming.
