Rosewood Hotels & Resorts has debuted its second urban property in mainland China. Located within the 108-story CTF Finance Center, the Rosewood Guangzhou is now tallest 5-Star hotel of the world.
Toronto-based design firm Yabu Pushelberg oversaw the design of the luxury concept, blending a bold elegant style with natural scenery and provocative artwork. Bronze screens and lacquered red accents punctuate the arrival experience in the lobby detailed with features like vermillion-red lacquered doors and traditional silk screens referencing the ancient Chinese craftsmanship.
A highlight of the property’s ultra-luxurious amenities is the Manor Club, an exclusive private space on the 108th floor, hosting a club room with a wraparound terrace—one of seven at the property. The 251 guestrooms, including 31 suites of the property share a tranquil ambiance accentuated by an earthy color palette. Crafted in a loft-like style, all accommodations feature details like leather headboards, bronze-framed screen partitions, custom brass knobs, royal blue lacquer accents, and travertine-clad bathrooms.
Its seven district F&B concepts include the Cantonese venue, Lingnan House, designed by Tokyo-based studio Super Potato akin to an ornate Chinese mansion with lantern-inspired lighting, contemporary ceiling fans, and dark wood wall panels. Other options include the tavern-like Brick Lane, the Patina Living Room, the Patina European Brasserie & Terrace, the street-level café Sesame, and the Brick Iron—that is now also known as the tallest restaurant and bar in mainland China.
