Ennismore has announced the launch of the first SLS Hotels Hotels & Residences property in South America. Located in Buenos Aires, Argentina, SLS Puerto Madero was conceived to appeal to both travelers and locals by conveying the unmistakable spirit of the Argentinian capital. A modern energy permeates the worldly design courtesy of Italian designer and architect Piero Lissoni. The property also features a robust art collection curated in partnership with the Jorge M. Perez Contemporary Art Collection.
“Wherever we work in the world, we always to try to connect to the context, and this was also the case for the SLS Puerto Madero project,” Lissoni says. “Argentina has always dialogued with European culture and vice versa, and we have tried to keep these factors by combining notions evoked by the surroundings with elements of European culture, all interpreted in a contemporary key. This mix allows each project to be unique, while remaining extremely focused in the emotions it looks to convey.”
Home to 58 suites and 134 residences, SLS Puerto Madero features accommodations designed to complement the distinctive verve of the city. Floor-to-ceiling windows lead to private furnished balconies that overlook the city’s downtown area and nearby dockyards. Understated touches, like hardwood floors and striking black accents, further instill a refined ambiance in each room.
Onsite amenities include Argentinian grill Leynia, which is outfitted with a sushi bar and wood-burning grill, and the Ciel Spa. The wellness facility comprises an outdoor swimming pool, fitness center, individual and couples treatment rooms, and gendered locker rooms equipped their own steam rooms and relaxation areas.
