The Hoxton has inaugurated its 10th hotel, the Hoxton, Rome, in the Roman quartiere of Parioli. Housed within a 1970s structure, the property was revived through a collaboration between Ennismore, the brand’s in-house design studio, and Fettle Design to accentuate the building’s original details as well as the rich architectural legacy of the Italian capital.
Beyond the dusty pink façade, the hotel welcomes visitors into the modernist space with a large, open lobby flooded with natural light. Signature Hoxton features—like wall panels and timber floors—span the space, which is also populated by colorful, richly textured vintage and antique furniture that instill familiarity and a sense of place. A sweeping, curved coffee bar and café anchor the ground floor along with a shaded outdoor terrace. All-day dining destination Cugino serves as the centerpiece of the onsite F&B options, which will be expanded with an additional eatery this September.
Six configurations are featured among the hotele’s 192 accommodations: shoebox, cozy, cozy up, roomy, roomy terrace, and biggy. Spread across seven floors, each guestroom conjures nostalgia for classic Italian cinema through rustic parquet floors, lacquered timber panels, and locally sourced stone. While accommodations demonstrate uniformity with bespoke statement headboards and eclectic furniture, some larger rooms are distinguished by striking glass chandeliers salvaged from the historic site. Brightly colored bathrooms also nod to midcentury Italian style.
