Owners of the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, David Chang and Goodwin Gaw, have taken over management of the property and appointed longtime collaborator Brett Blass as COO after recently completing a $25 million room renovation led by New York-based Yabu Pushelberg.
“The Hollywood Roosevelt’s reputation as an iconic, one-of-a-kind lifestyle hotel has been forged with distinction in Hollywood’s history,” says Blass. “It’s an exciting time for the entire hotel team and for Los Angeles. Our stunning guestroom renovation celebrates this landmark hotel’s character, charm, and Hollywood roots, while making us all very enthusiastic for the future ahead.”
Now a member of Preferred Hotels & Resorts Lifestyle Collection, the boutique hotel’s 298 rooms feature a color palette of soft gray hues and persimmon-red accents complemented by textural design, leather, and a Spanish Colonial-inspired aesthetic with a modern twist.
Amenities include the Spare Room bowling alley and the hotel’s renowned Tropicana pool painted by artist David Hockney.
F&B outlets include the newly renovated Tropicana Café, Public Kitchen and Bar, 25 Degress, the Library Bar, and a prohibition-style cocktail lounge.
