Famed chef and restaurateur Bobby Flay has opened Bobby’s Burger Palace (BBP) in West Philadelphia in the heart of University City. Rockwell Group designed the 71-seat outpost is a nod to a classic burger joint, emblazoned with fiery red, bold yellow, and vibrant green hues. A central serpentine resin-coated dining counter complemented by vivid green leather bar stools anchor BBP. The counter is echoed by a dramatic ribbon-like light fixture with brown, orange, and yellow stripes. A floor-to-ceiling feature wall encasing the restaurant’s kitchen is a mosaic of wood, bamboo, and bright green, brown, and orange glass tiles. Pendant lamps create a gradation of amber color where light shines through tiny bubbles that make BBP glow. Photographs of farm-fresh ingredients also adorn the walls.
