Harbor Beach Marriott Resort & Spa in Fort Lauderdale will welcome the new Sea Level restaurant in February. The 160-seat oceanfront venue, designed by the Coral Gables, Florida, office of RTKL, will be perched 15 feet above the area’s largest private beach. Designed to reflect a modern South Florida ambiance, Sea Level’s décor will include a large communal table, located in the middle of the dining room, which will serve up to 10 people. Exterior lighting will adhere to guidelines protecting the region’s native sea turtles while offering unobstructed sunset views over the Atlantic Ocean. The restaurant’s cuisine, overseen by executive chef Thomas O’Keefe, will be served in a variety of innovative vessels, from galvanized metal pails to cigar boxes.
Sea Level represents the final phase of a $50 million renovation, which includes redesigning the resort’s rooms and suites, the 10,000-square-foot oceanfront ballroom and ocean terrace, an expansion of the fitness center, and the addition of a freestanding kids’ clubhouse.
