Developed and operated by the Armour Group, with architecture by Halifax-based MacKay-Lyons Sweetapple Architects, Muir embraces a deeply rooted sense of place through a locally inspired palette of salt-and-pepper granite, regional sandstone, and Muntz metal—a nod to the area’s shipbuilding legacy.

Custom furnishings and original works by Nova Scotian artists further ground the hotel in the province’s creative and cultural identity.

Anchoring the hotel is Drift, a destination restaurant with warm interiors and panoramic views of the harbor and the Tidal Beacon art installation.

Guests can also escape to BKS, a hidden speakeasy reserved exclusively for guests. Perched on a cantilevered terrace overlooking the harbor, the private lounge offers a secluded yet scenic vantage point.
