Women-focused coworking concept the Wing has launched its new Chicago location in the Fulton Market District of the city. Designed by the Wing’s in-house team alongside architecture firm CallisonRTKL, the company’s first outpost in the Midwest draws upon the Prairie styles of Frank Lloyd Wright.
Spread across 8,500 square feet, the open space references Wright’s iconic geometric forms and muted tones and also boasts a variety of custom, midcentury-style furniture, including communal tables. Design elements include hexagonal multicolored tiles on the floor and the hallmark color-coded bookshelves. The coworking brand’s signature Perch café concept will feature goods sourced from women-owned and co-owned culinary artisans.
