The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection has unveiled Ilma, its second new-build luxury superyacht.

At 790 feet long, Ilma houses 224 airy suites, all with private terraces that provide direct access to the sea.

The yacht, which can accommodate up to 448 guests, features interiors by London-based architectural and design firm AD Associates and exteriors by Helsinki-based Aivan.

Ilma, named after the Maltese word for water, subtly draws inspiration from Maltese mythology, coastline, history, and native fauna. The design narrative incorporates fresh, neutral tones juxtaposed by light and dark finishes, while the exterior nods to the sleek design of private yachts.

The communal Living Room

At the heart of Ilma sits the living room, a welcoming space that serves coffee by day and cocktails by night. The yacht features a variety of F&B options including five dining venues, an in-suite dining program, sevens bars, and a signature wine vault.

One of the F&B highlights is the Beach House, crafted by the Toronto-based Chapi Chapo Design, which boasts 180-degree views of the sea. The beach club-inspired venue, with a menu developed in collaboration with James Beard Award-winning chef Michael Mina, draws from Pan-Latin cuisine, blending globally influenced flavors in a relaxed yet upscale atmosphere.

Ilma debuts an extensive Marina and Marina Terrace—a signature of the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection fleet—which features large glass windows that draw in natural light, side doors that open and float above the water, and a hydraulic platform that connects guests directly with the sea when the yacht is anchored.

Deck 10 presents a dynamic open-air space for live entertainment and sunbathing, complete with the main pool, pool bar, and an outdoor LED screen. Additional experiences on board include a spa and three distinct fitness spaces.

Ilma’s inaugural season in the Mediterranean includes ports of call to Santorini, Porto Cervo, and Valletta, before departing for the Caribbean. Ilma will set sail to Northern Europe—a first for the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection—during the 2025 summer season with itineraries in Amsterdam, Stockholm, and Reykjavík.
