Project: Le Méridien Houston Downtown, Texas
To curate Le Méridien Downtown Houston, Los Angeles firm Forchielli Glynn turned to Kalisher to inspire contemplation among guests in the public spaces with a commanding feature wall. Using urban imagery, the firm crafted a vinyl wallcovering that portrays the simple geometry of a staircase and its shadows through an abstracted, large-scale depiction. The piece “recalls the industrial character and history of Houston,” says Kalisher’s Sara Easterling.
