Commodore Perry Estate: Auberge Resorts Collection grew its portfolio in 2020 with two iconic renovations: the Mayflower Inn & Spa in Washington, Connecticut, and the Commodore Perry Estate in Austin. The latter, constructed in 1928, underwent a thorough restoration by Pasadena, California’s Moule & Polyzoides, New York designer Ken Fulk, and Austin- and San Antonio-based Clayton Korte to capture the 10-acre architectural landmark’s historic joie de vivre. A palette of muted pink, apricot, and celadon accentuates rich velvet surfaces and ageless patterns as the redesign channels Old-World European opulence and the joy of the Roaring Twenties. In addition to five bedrooms and stately amenities like a cocktail bar, library, and solarium, the manor is newly joined by a standalone three-story inn that houses 42 guestrooms and seven terraced suites accented with both custom and vintage fixtures.
