Ulysses, Baltimore, Maryland
The theatrical hotel, housed in a former apartment building from 1912 in Baltimore’s Mount Vernon neighborhood, is a love letter to both travel and the city (the Ulysses was the ship that brought Bavarian immigrants to Baltimore). It incorporates, for instance, a flamingo motif that references local filmmaking legend John Waters. In the 116 guestrooms, beds are covered in quilts that celebrate the famous Baltimore Album floral versions crafted in the 1840s.
