The details: The Anantara Golden Triangle Elephant Camp & Resort in Mueang Chiang Rai, Thailand has taken its commitment to experiential luxury to new heights with the introduction of its Jungle Bubbles, a partnership between SkyBubbles and Anantara. Nestled in the tropical greenery, the dual accommodations are located atop elevated wooden decks and wrapped in a transparent membrane that allows for clear views of the natural scenery, including the elephants roaming their habitat.
Although they appear to be plastic, the bubbles are constructed without volatile elements like phthalates. In fact, all materials—down to the furniture inside—were chosen for their durability and small environmental footprints, taking into account their exposure to sunlight. Equipped with solar cover protection, the 235-square-foot bubbles comprise a bedroom and living space, as well as an ensuite shower and vanity. “Bubbles are big for hotels for several reasons,” says Ferran Monfot, SkyBubbles’ export manager. “We can cover outdoor spaces with big bubbles or inflatable tents, not only for sleeping, but as restaurants, chill-out places, or multiuse spaces for gyms, yoga, or meetings.”
