Wine, Wood, and Quiet Luxury Define Walkers’ in Dallas

Kevin Klein Design layers rich materials into a Lower Greenville destination that shifts from sandwich shop by day to restaurant by night

Kevin Klein Design has unveiled Walkers’ Bar and Market, a new wine-forward venue in Dallas’ Lower Greenville neighborhood. Founded by siblings Rosemary Walker-Greene and Russell Walker, the venue operates as a market and sandwich shop by day and transitions into a restaurant and bar in the evening.

Duality of design

Spanning 3,310 square feet, the space required a solution that could flex across two distinct programs without sacrificing spatial coherence. Klein’s answer was rooted in restraint: an environment that reads as elevated and approachable in equal measure, layered but never overdone.

Rather than imposing a singular aesthetic, Klein envisioned the interior as an extension of the founders’ personalities and shared vision, reflecting the dynamic between the two siblings, which balances structure with spontaneity.

Italian wood flooring sets a warm, textural foundation throughout Walters’. At the center of the room, a sculptural curved bar crafted from Italian Calacatta Oliva marble commands attention, while the market section integrates custom refrigeration units from Italy.

Materiality at Walkers’ Bar and Market

Tiles are laid out across the walls alongside a specialized stone-coat wall finish and carefully selected marble. Vintage fixtures sourced from across Europe introduce a sense of history and character, preventing the space from reading as too polished or new.

Dining chairs refurbished by Dutch atelier Morentz mingle with a suite of fully custom pieces, including banquettes, booths, dining tables, service stations, and bar stools.
