Washington, DC-based architecture and design firm //3877 has announced a continued collaboration with KNEAD Hospitality + Design, a Washington, DC-based multi-concept boutique restaurant company known for numerous independent restaurant concepts. Collaborating on the architecture, design, and construction of four new local restaurants—Mah-Ze-Dahr, National Landing; Mi Casa, Dupont Circle; Gatsby, Capitol Riverfront; and Bistro Du Jour, The Wharfn (shown)—the restaurants will join an existing suite of projects shared by the two firms.
Full-service restaurant and bar Mi Casa, Dupont Circle will have a Tex-Mex culinary focus, blending Mexican, Californian, Texan, and New Mexican cuisine—and a design scheme to match. Mah-Ze-Dahr’s National Landing outpost will have an 80-seat setup, doubling as a commissary kitchen for the additional Mah-Ze-Dahr locations—each of which is known for a signature airy-but-moody aesthetic and an indulgent-yet-refined bakery experience. Full-service bar and restaurant Gatsby, located at Capitol Riverfront, spans almost 9,000 square feet. Seating approximately 350 patrons, Gatsby is steeped in old-school glamour, promising an authentic Roaring 20s, Art Deco design experience. Bistro Du Jour, a casual French bistro, will bring a Parisian neighborhood feel to the prime waterfront location at The Wharf.
