For almost two decades, Hospitality Design (HD) magazine has annually honored a handful of designers, architects, brand executives, and owners as our Wave of the Future—those who are young enough to be considered visionary, but tested enough to be accomplished.
This year’s honorees are as diverse as they are inspirational, with each bringing a fresh perspective to design. They are introducing new brands and evolving established ones, lending their talents to restaurants and hotels and everything in between. They are ultimately helping to redefine the future of hospitality design.
Our 2019 class includes:
Kate Allen, Kristen Lien, Kelly Morrison, cofounders, Frank Architecture
Nina Gotlieb, director of contract and hospitality design, West Elm
Tenaya Hills, design director, Bunkhouse Group
Dan Mazzarini, principal, BHDM Design
Charlie North, design director, Ennismore/The Hoxton
Kate Rohrer, founder, Rohe Creative
Ashley Stempler, director of design, Provenance Hotels
Yu Ting, chief architect, Wutopia Lab
Venus Williams, founder, V Starr Interiors
Honorees will be featured in the July issue of HD magazine, and are feted during the magazine’s HD NextGen Forum in June in Austin, Texas.
