Hospitality Design magazine is honored to announce its 2025 Design Firm of the Year and Hotelier of the Year as part of the 21st annual HD Awards program. This year’s recipients continue to elevate the industry by bringing new perspectives to hospitality with groundbreaking and beautiful creations.
Design Firm of the Year: Meyer Davis

Meyer Davis has been named as the 2025 Design Firm of the Year. Founded by Will Meyer and Gray Davis in 1999, the firm (with offices in New York, Miami, Los Angeles, and London) is known for its sophisticated yet timeless approach that has elevated projects for brands, like Four Seasons and Auberge Resorts. The duo’s signature style combines clean lines, rich textures, and thoughtful details, creating immersive experiences that continue to push design boundaries. Meyer Davis’ portfolio includes the just-opened Arlo Washington DC; the Well Coconut Grove, a forthcoming residential development in Miami; and so much more.
Hotelier of the Year: Kit Kemp, Firmdale Hotels

Kit Kemp, founder and creative director of Firmdale Hotels, has been named the 2025 Hotelier of the Year. Alongside her husband, Tim, she has created a portfolio of eclectic, design-driven, and art-infused hotels in London and New York, including the recently opened Warren Street Hotel in Manhattan’s Tribeca neighborhood. Her hallmarks—vibrant colors, whimsical patterns, and handcrafted details—make each space feel unique and inviting, a testament to her influence in the world of design. Kemp served as the guest editor of Hospitality Design’s November 2019 issue.
The 21st annual HD Awards ceremony will be held on May 6th at the Bellagio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas during HD Expo + Conference. (Register today!)
