The creative teams behind design shows Decorex, designjunction, kbb Birmingham, and Sleep & Eat have announced the debut of Designscape, a virtual show taking place August 11–13th. The platform will unite the residential, hospitality, and retail communities across three days of programming.
Tuesday, August 11th will focus on the retail sector, examining experiential physical spaces, the intersection of digital and retail, and storytelling through shop windows. Day two on Wednesday, August 12th will be dedicated to residential design with an emphasis on new criteria for home design, the evolution of luxury, the emergence of modern primitive styles, and the state of the residential market. Designscape will conclude on Thursday, August 13th with a lineup of hospitality discussions that dive into sustainability and safety, the impact of artificial intelligence, future-proofing expansions, and investment plans.
“Designscape is a direct response to what the design industry has told us they need—an opportunity to meet with suppliers, source new products, network with existing and new business contacts, as well as a place to be inspired and learn on a global scale,” says Dana Teague, design group vice president of Informa. “We are committed to giving industry professionals something new, challenging them to think differently about design, and bringing them together alongside specialists to look at how behavioral change will affect every step in the design process across every sector.”
