Preciosa celebrates 300 years
Preciosa Lighting is marking 300 years of crystal craftsmanship in Crystal Valley, Czech Republic—the brand’s creative hub and the heart of its legacy. Established in 1724, Preciosa has honed its expertise over generations to perfect the unique properties of crystal while maintaining its storied heritage. The brand’s iconic chandelier designs adorn global destinations, complemented by a portfolio that includes jewelry, gift items, crystal fashion components, and its renowned cut crystal beads. With nearly 480 team members, Preciosa has completed more than 4,000 projects across 96 countries.
Molteni&C debuts Scottsdale flagship
Italian brand Molteni&C has further expanded its U.S. presence with a new flagship store in Scottsdale’s Art District. In partnership with the Bazaar, founded by Jennifer Wilson in 2019, the 3,230-square-foot space immerses visitors in Molteni&C’s signature timeless style in a space that evokes a cozy, welcoming home. The store showcases living, kitchen, and dining areas featuring works by designers like Vincent Van Duysen, Foster + Partners, Naoto Fukasawa, and Rodolfo Dordoni.
Ron Silano named president of Nemo Tile + Stone
Nemo Tile + Stone has appointed Ron Silano as president. With more than 30 years of industry experience, Silano is set to strengthen the company’s offerings to designers, architects, and trade professionals. His background spans architecture and design sales, distribution, stone fabrication, and wholesale operations. Previously, Silano cofounded the Stone Project and held leadership roles at Stone Source in New York. He also served as the northeast regional manager at FlorGres (now Florim Spa). The announcement follows the recent opening of the Nemo Slab Collection Gallery in Lyndhurst, New Jersey.
Lalique unveils global flagship in New York
French crystal house Lalique has launched its global flagship, Maison d’Artiste, within the historic Chopard Mansion on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. The design of the five-story townhouse was led by Marc Larminaux, Lalique’s artistic and creative director, in collaboration with Christos Prevezanos, founder and principal of Los Angeles-based Studio Preveza. The flagship’s curated spaces—including the Veranda d’Essences, Salon d’Exploration, Bar & Lounge, Lalique Art Gallery, and Lalique Interior Design Studio—capture the intimacy of a refined private residence while paying homage to New York’s artistic and cultural heritage. Standout elements include a crystal light wall of 36 Lauriers panels, 62 illuminated crystal Swallows, and a dome adorned with 177 glowing crystal Anemones.
Sandler opens New York showroom
Sandler has debuted its first New York showroom in partnership with Formica Corporation. Located in NoMad, the space features hospitality furniture from Sandler and casegoods by Formica, and is arranged in a collection of vignettes, including a conference room, meeting tables, quiet room, reception area, and various seating areas. “We’ve had sales reps in the area for years, and it was time to put down roots and open a showroom that people can visit,” says Roy Sandler, CEO of Sandler. “They can come see the quality of the craftsmanship, test the furniture’s comfort, and ask all their questions about design possibilities. The showroom is for the industry—we want people to feel free to use it as a coworking or relaxing space.”
WAC Lighting celebrates 40th anniversary and welcomes new VP
This year marks WAC Lighting’s 40th anniversary. Headquartered in Port Washington, New York, the company operates a robust network of distribution facilities in New York, Georgia, California, and Texas. The brand oversees the R&D and manufacturing of more than 2,500 new products annually, driven by in-house design and strategic partnerships. As part of its continued growth, WAC has appointed Keith Eagle as vice president of business development. Eagle had previously served as vice president and general manager for Signify Lighting (formerly Philips Lighting) since 2018. In his new position, Eagle will focus on building teams, fostering cross-departmental collaboration, and utilizing data-driven strategic initiatives.
