The Chalet Alpen Valley has debuted in the village of Combloux, located in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in south-eastern France. Overlooking Mont Blanc and Aiguille du Midi, the cozy, alpine hotel evokes a residential-style authenticity and warmth across its interiors overhauled by the Balaruc-les-Bains- based designer Chantal Peyrat.
Beyond large wooden doors, the property hosts 28 guestrooms conveying a sense of place and an atmosphere reminiscent of a family home. Vintage illustrations and photography adorn the walls to echo a bygone era, while plaid patterns and soft cushions instill a comforting feeling of familiarity. Paying homage to the elegant and friendly spirit of the locale, the gastronomic concept Le Cellier is also housed onsite as the chalet’s signature eatery.
