Founded by brothers Hasan and Husain Roomi, London- and Dubai-based studio H2R Design was tasked with crafting Brew Café‘s second Dubai outpost. The concept pulls inspiration from the aroma of freshly ground beans and the comforting warmth of coffee.
Contemporary accents mix with elements that reflect history, roots, and groundedness. Located in the Mirdif Avenue Mall, the venue honors the brand’s original outlet and fosters community engagement and social interaction. The space suggests the simplicity, elegance, and richness of coffee blends with a clean and bold, yet playful, design featuring geometric precision, soft lines, and intricate craftsmanship.
From the bar counter to the track lights, soft satin-finished steel lends a cleaner, more elevated alternative to brushed metal or stainless steel. Terracotta bricks, Venetian glass blocks, textured paint, and lush greenery evoke a harmonious sense of nature and simplicity. Soft warm lighting enhances the coziness, while splashes of color across the earthy palette add visual interest and draw attention to focal points. Black tables meticulously designed with a bespoke texture and specialized electroplating also add a refined contrast.
Designed to be both simple and striking with a singular material wrapping its top and sides, the coffee counter is a central focal point that invites customers to witness the art of coffee-making. The fridge display was even designed to seamlessly integrate into the counter for ease of access without compromising aesthetics.
