California’s Calistoga Inn has unveiled the transformation of its F&B space. The newly completed Calistoga Inn Brewery & Restaurant, refreshed by Napa-based studio Hawkins Interiors, exudes a cool and relaxing ambiance across its 2,500-square-foot layout.
“My inspiration was rooted in looking at images of traditional bistros in Paris,” says Hawkins founder Julie Hawkins. “We wanted the restaurant to feel welcoming and casual, so we blended the Parisian bistro style with more modern elements to make sure it felt fresh.”
Stately interiors are conceived to maximize transparency and foster a natural connection with the outdoor patio and beer garden. “The main dining room includes a blend of traditional and modern elements, with the classic wallpaper mixed with modern leather banquette seating,” Hawkins adds. A neutral light blue-gray hue characterizes the restaurant, offset by copper-toned upholstered booths, wooden tables, and notes of greenery. Abstract floral greenery artfully adorns the walls to complement the modernist aesthetic, while the quaint bar area stands out with mosaic detailing “that reminded us of Old World cafés,” shares Hawkins.
